A big brown door

The garage door was finally installed. Now I can start working on the
garages inside.

Dirt then grass

I like grass. I just hope it gets established before winter.

Red is to much

I like the green but red is to much for me. A brown that matches the
gutters and garage door is probably better.

Long side windows

Go big!!!

Natural light is nice and the big windows look good inside.

House colors

Sage and something?

Maybe the sage and red trim?

Inside windows

I think I like the equally spaced windows that are not so far from the
edge.

A, B or ...

A) The windows must be 18" from the door which makes them 71" or ~6'
from the edge. Doing an equal space from the right edge makes the
windows seem to close. Pros - big inside corner for tools/shelves.
Cons - spacing is to close

B) From the right side of the door to the right side of the garage
there is 20' subtract 10' for windows. Divide remaining 10' with 2.5'
on eachn side of window. Pros - looks well spaced Cons - no big
corner for tools/shelves

Big side windows?

I wasn't planning on side windows but the contractor put them in
because there was no communication. Now I like them and think maybe I
should have bigger ones put in when they replace the aluminum windows
with vinyl.

Garage windows 71" from side

The windows must be 18" from the door and that puts them at 71" from
the side.

Cyclocross... my first race

Cyclocross started in Europe has a fall sport and has recently been
gaing popularity in the United States. I raced my first cyclocross
this weekend and had a blast even though I got 49th out of 51 for my
age and ability class.

Colorado – Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour (North America) 2010

It's still fall but a major cold front is supposed to blow in tonight
and drop the temperature 30 degrees with daytime highs in the 40s this
next week.

That change in the weather, watching the new Match Stick ski movie
last night and buying new ski pants today has me thinking about
winter. Those thoughts lead many other thoughts, one of which was the
Banff Film Festival World Tour. The actual festival happens in Banff,
Alberta as the name would suggest but after it's over they take the
most succesfull films on tour. I have been several times and enjoyed
it very much each time.

I would like to go again but my memory has failed me because I thought
it was a fall event. But after looking at the tour calendar I see
it's an early spring event. Well, that's OK, I should be well
prepared by March, 2010 if I can just remember it's playing.

Cirque du Soleil

Wow... Amazing... Crazy... No way... Those are just some of the
words I found myself repeating at Cirque du Soleil.

Four garage walls and a roof

I went to work Monday morning with a vacant slab in my backyard and no
word from the contractor. You can imagine my surprise when I got home
and found five guys working hard on a nearly completed garage.
Besides the windows being on the side wall instead of the back I am
very pleased.

Finding gold riding Monarch Crest to Rainbow Trail

After a long day of fast riding on Saturday we all woke up a little
sore and apprehensive about Sundays ride. But the MC and RT are great
rolling rides and we all had a blast.

Crested Butte - Down, down, and down

We rode 38 miles with about 5000ft of climbing.

Crested Butte - Up, up and up

I rode the 403 and 401 trails in Crested Butte this weekend with some
old and new friends. The friends, trails and scenery were great but I
got my but kicked.
